Introducing Plantareon – A Tool for Smarter Garden Planning

Introducing Plantareon – A Tool for Smarter Garden Planning

At Wolverine Island, we’re primarily known as an indie game and software studio. But sometimes, the same curiosity that drives game design leads us into entirely different territories.

That’s how Plantareon was born.

From Systems Thinking to Gardening

Plantareon started with a simple question:
Why is planning a garden still so complicated?

Gardening is full of systems, seasons, spacing, growth cycles, compatibility between plants, yet many tools still rely on static charts or scattered information. We wanted to explore what happens when you approach gardening the same way you approach software and game systems: structured, visual, and adaptive.

The result is Plantareon, a web-based tool designed to help you plan, organize, and understand your garden more effectively.

What Is Plantareon?

Plantareon is a planning tool that helps gardeners think ahead. It focuses on clarity, structure, and usability rather than overwhelming detail.

With Plantareon, the goal is to:

  • Make garden planning easier and more approachable
  • Reduce guesswork and trial-and-error
  • Give users a clearer overview of their plants and layout
  • Encourage experimentation without the chaos

It’s designed to be useful whether you’re planning a small home garden or experimenting with larger layouts.

A Different Kind of Project — Same Philosophy

While Plantareon isn’t a game, it shares the same DNA as our other projects:

  • System-driven thinking
  • Clean interfaces
  • Practical tools built with care
  • A focus on long-term usefulness

We enjoy exploring ideas outside traditional game development, especially when they allow us to apply our skills in new and unexpected ways.
